Reb's Play

Our own Reb Caputo who left to go to Breton Hall drama school is returning with the first show from her new company Chotto ookii Theatre present:...

And Even My Goldfish

They say, don't dream your life away. But what if all you've got are dreams and a not entirely comfortable chair…? Chotto ookii present a bitterly comic and surreal tale of paranoia. One man battles against his own psychoses whilst the rest of the world carries on, all set against the backdrop of the party game Twister.

Chotto ooki (pronounced cho-toe-oh-key) means "just a little bit bigger" and characterises the theatre company's approach to performance, drawing from contemporary culture to produce visually breathtaking, deeply poignant and ridiculously bizarre theatre. Delving into the company's broad spectrum of experience, their performances incorporate dance, stand-up comedy, clowning, martial arts, traditional theatre techniques and anything else they feel like throwing in!

Catch it at Norwich Arts Centre on Thursday 2nd February at 7-30pm. Tickets £6/£5 on 660352. It promises to be really good. Hope to see you all there.

Baby Watch Section

Nicky Turner writes: Finally I can send you all good news and announce that Karishma has been approved as my adoptive daughter by the orphanage, so hopefully in about 4 months I will be able to go and get her. Suddenly it's all very real and very soon... But great!!! I was going to write loads but I've run out of things to say for the moment... It's all left me rather speechless!!

Also, best of luck to Manda and Harry who are expecting on or around Valentine's Day. We wish you a speedy delivery and look forward to meeting little Billy.

A Big Party

Nicky also adds: I will be celebrating my 40th birthday by having a party on the evening of 25th March. More details will be sent later, but it is child friendly and should be fun so please write it in your diaries. It will be a shared 40th party with Gill Francis and it's now become my last big fling before motherhood!!!

Next Meeting

is at The Nelson on 6th February at 8pm.
