Crude Apache News - AGM special - 7 October 2004

A turnout of nearly 30 witnessed this years very well behaved AGM held at
the Nelson PH.

The meeting started with the treasurers report. We are pleased to have made
about £1,400 this year, leaving our current account at £3114.27. It still
costs about £900 a year to run the company, and we¹re still looking for
storage space if anyone out there has any ideas....

LAST YEAR
We looked back over the last year briefly and are pleased to have brought in
lots of new talent as well as putting on some good shows and making a
reasonable profit. What more can we ask.

NEXT YEAR
Next show on the agenda is Phil Harris¹ "Erosia", the story of the murder of
the king of Nepal. Scheduled for February at the new OGarage¹ venue on
Chapelfield, Phil needs up to 15 actors and is holding audition on Sunday
31st October at the Branford Arms from 2 - 6pm. Phil is also having another
read through of the script on Saturday 16th October at Russell Turners house
- call Russ on 443929 if you want to come along.

May will bring us Jo Yorkes outdoor production of ODe Sade¹, no details as
yet on auditions etc. but watch this space. So far there are no concrete
plans  for next years summer show, so if you¹re out there with a brilliant
idea come along to a committee meeting and air your views.

PARTY
As you¹re all aware the 10th anniversary party will be held on Friday 22nd
October at the Hog in Armour from about 7.30. (bar Otil 12) This is open to
all, so feel free to bring freinds etc., it¹s not just for Crude Apache
members. Confirmed entertainments are: Shitty Deal Puppet Theatre present
The Complete History of Crude Apache, OOooh! What¹s that Cruude Apache
noise¹ quiz hosted by Chris Bond, OThe Patches¹ award ceremony hosted by
Karl Minns, music from Ian Brownlies band OThe Young Britons¹ and the
specially formed OTap (Tenth Anniversary Party) Band¹ led by our very own
Tim Lane.

Feel free to dress to impress, and don¹t be square.

NELSON PH
A vote of thanks went to the Nelson Pub for all thier help over the last
year. Don¹t forget they¹re having a folk and beer festival from 15-17th
October so get along and support our very good friends.

COMMITTEE
Which brings us to the election of the new committee. Sadly, Jon Creek,
Nicki Dixon and Jo Edye all stood down, but happily they have been replaced
by some very experienced and committed people. After a fairly close vote,
the new committee comprises:

Chair - Will Averill, Treasurer - Russell J Turner, Secretary - Panda,
Keeper of the Garage - Pete Stening and overseas correspondent - Andy
Bennet.

A vote of thanks to the outgoing members was made, but we are all
very happy with a new committee that will take us forward marching bravely
heads held high...etc etc.

NEXT MEETING
Will be on Monday 1st November at the Nelson
PH at 7.30 of the clock.
See you all at the party!
