Da Coalition

Auditions happening as I write at The Branford Arms. Welcome on board new producer Lucy who has willingly signed her life away. She met with a guy from the BBC who was “interested”.

Other Shows

Abigail's Party development continues with no hand-bag incidents this month.

Research for The Singing Postman proceeds apace. The Suffolk Postie tribute night last week was “a very different night out”.

Awards For All have given £1700 for Faust into the capable hands of producer Russell. Auditions will be Sunday 29th January for production last week in May at The Garage.

Website update

Will to meet with Rupert to do something technical. Rumours that our favourite Yank will embrace technology and start to grow a goatie are unconfirmed.

The Grages

They are both still there. Q has been pencilled in to help re-build (he has the technology he has the power tools).

A New Play

Will has written a new play. He will schedule a read-through early next year, god willing. Call him on 01603 630327 if you want to know more.

Duncan's Dad

I guess most people have already heard but sadly Duncan's Dad Phil Rowe died recently. Many of us knew him through Bridge tournaments, a rare example of a mate's parent becoming a mate in their own right. He was top company and an excellent card player. He will be much missed by the Norwich Crew and our sympathies go out to Duncan, Sharon and the family. We are organising a collection to donate to The Symbol Trust, a charity working with children with special needs that Phil was involved with. Donations to Panda by Boxing Day so I can get a cheque to them in the New Year.

David Spurling's Memorial Service

The English memorial service to celebrate the life of David Spurling is to be held at 2:30pm on Saturday the 17th December 2005 in All Saints Church, Old Buckenham, Norfolk. There will be food and so on available in the church hall after the service. The family are not sending out formal invitations, anyone who knew David is very welcome and please feel free to pass this invitation on to anyone you think may be interested.

Bert's 40th Birthday Celebration

I received the following missive from the Bert-meister:

Hey Funky Ms. P
Please broadcast to the masses that Bert will be celebrating his REAL 40th birthday (September's party was a practice run) at the Nelson Pub (Nelson St) on Wed 14th December from 8pm onwards.
What better excuse for a midweek jar (or several) does one need?

Cheers, Bert x x x

Gro & Russell's Birthday

After the Xmas Show gig on 17th at the Nelson, Gro and Russ invite you to celebrate their joint birthday at the Nelson.

Flint Gig

Our favourite funky homies will be strutting their stuff at The Nelson PH on 16th December at 8-30pm.

Ellie's Panto

Our own Ellie Firth is starring as Prince Charming in the Gorleston Pavilion Theatre Panto. We are organising a group trip on Dec 28th or 29th. Contact Panda asap if you are interested. New phone is 401407.

Other Shows

Theatre of Adventure presents a new and limited edition production of
The All New Elveden Elves Christmas Cracker
A 40 minute all singing all dancing Frolicking Seasonal Show. Much Hilarity for children and adults. Starring our own Saffron Paffron and Jerry Ferley as The Elves of Elveden. Surprise Guest Appearance by Santa Himself. Performances on the following dates: Sat 17th, Sun 18th Dec. Five free shows a day between 10am & 5 pm. Just turn up and grab a ticket. Just off the A11 at Elveden, near Thetford.

Other News & Gossip

Soya milk was spotted at Chez Clunge – what is going on..? Is there nothing Tom Butterworth won't do for Crude Apache.

Next Meeting

Mon 9th or Wed 11th January at 8pm in The Trafford Arms (apparently its on the other side of Norwich).
